  • 1 cup water
  • 4 cup salted roasted peanuts
  • 4 tbps butter
  • 3 tsp soda
  • 3 tsp vanilla

Instructions
 

  • Line a sheet skillet with material paper. Put away.
  • Measure out peanuts, margarine, heating pop and vanilla and have them prepared.
  • Add sugar, and water to a medium pan and mix well. Mix in corn syrup. Cook blend over medium warmth (don't be enticed to turn the warmth up!), mixing incidentally, until it goes to a delicate bubble.
  • Join your sweets thermometer to the edge of the pot, and ensure it is lowered in the fluid, yet not contacting the lower part of the pot. Cook, mixing sporadically until temperature arrives at 250°F (121°C).
  • Add the peanuts and mix the combination continually until the sweets thermometer temperature arrives at 300 degrees F.
  • Eliminate blend from heat and quickly mix in margarine, preparing pop and vanilla. The combination will froth and change surface.
  • Cautiously pour the hot combination onto the pre-arranged container and utilize a blade or spoon to rapidly (and cautiously!) spread the blend into an even layer.
  • Permit to cool totally (something like 30 moment) prior to falling to pieces and eating.
  • Store the totally cooled nut fragile in an impenetrable compartment.

Notes

  • To make ahead: Peanut brittle can be made several days or even weeks in advance.  It stays fresh at room temperature for 6-8 weeks weeks.
  • To store: Store peanut brittle (once it’s completely cooled) in an airtight container at room temperature.  Do not refrigerate as the moisture from the fridge will cause the brittle to soften. Store for 6-8 weeks.
  • To freeze: Peanut brittle can be frozen and stored up to 3 months.  Allow the brittle to cool completely and store it in a freezer safe, airtight container.
